31st Annual Bayfront - Marina Lagoon Cleanup SATURDAY,  SEPTEMBER 20,  2025 – 9:00 am

Volunteers will pick up debris and litter along the Bayfront Trail, Marina Lagoon, and Tidelands Park.

Last year over 600 volunteers picked up over 14 cubic yards of garbage and 600 pounds of recycling.

We hope with your help to continue this effort in this uncertain year. All are encouraged to wear old

clothing and sturdy shoes, and bring your own gloves and trash bags.

IMPORTANT! We NEED volunteers to get the word out to the community.

Students can be signed off for community service credits.

MARINA LAGOON CLEAN UP - South End (this is where the most trash comes in from the San Francisco Bay and Laurel Creek)

The cleanup starts at 9:00 am.   Our rally point for the Marina Lagoon will be:

[1] Rock Harbor Ln & Port Royal Ave, Foster City  [there is a small park on the Bay Trail opposite 56 Port Royal, there is a small parking lot there,

or park on Port Royal]   Walk along the waters' edge north or south.

Walk along the waters edge to pick up trash.  If you are not secure walking along the waters' edge, move up to the bike path and help

consolidate trash piles.  Debris must be placed in piles on the side of the bike path.  The City will come later to pick up trash so be sure

to consolidate trash into one bag until it is full and consolidate bags and trash into piles.

There may also be clean up teams at Mariners Green #1, #2 and #3 and Harbortown, contact your HOA

We look forward to seeing you.

PLEASE  BRING YOUR OWN REUSED - REUSABLE SUPPLIES TO FURTHER REDUCE WASTE

Even with all the changes we are seeing in this year's cleanup effort, the California Coastal Commission is still working to make the California Coastal Cleanup even "greener." What does this mean? Be ready to reuse many items you may have at home to participate in this year's unique event.

Please join our efforts this year by turning out to your Cleanup with a "Bring Your Own (BYO)" philosophy.

Here are some quick tips on what you can do to help:

·       Bring a bucket or reusable bag to your Cleanup for collecting trash.

·       While your best option during these times is to use disposable gloves for your cleanup, if you don't have any, bring a lightweight pair of gardening gloves from home and wash them after your Cleanup.

·       Bring a filled, reusable water bottle to your Cleanup.

·       Reused plastic shopping bags

·       Old kitchen tongs
