A wonderful lagoon host to power boating and watersports. Three recreational parks including Acqatic Park, Joinville Park and Lakeshore Park to include a few. The lagoon is host to the Fish Market Restaurant as well. Power boats can opperate on the San Mateo Lagoon, and coexist wth wind and human powered craft with a harbor patrol located at AcquaticPark.
Highly sought after, built later than San Mateo Lagoon, the homes are generally more spacious. There are more available condos and townhomes, situated with a select number of single family homes. Low speed electric power and wind and human powered craft are permitted on the Foster City Lagoon in certain areas. The schools in Foster City perform well.
Redwood Shores, having the latest of the waterfront development communities with the exception of Redwood CIty, is characterized by bigger homes, comfortably situated in attached and detached arrangements. Planned on and off water landscaping provide the feel for having arrived in the tree lined streets and shores of Rewood Shres.
